CURE THOSE PUTTING WOES

On the putting green, place 3 clubs about 3 ft around the hole.

Practise putting making sure that each putt if not holed, roll pass the cup but not touch the club.

By achieving this, your second putt will be nothing more than just a 3 footer.

Always give yourself a chance to hole the putt by passing the cup and not leave it too short of the hole.

Sink every 3 footer.

Practise by placing 2 clubs parallel to each other along the line of putt.

Stroke straight back and straight through ensuring that your putter does not touch the 2 clubs on the ground.

When making a breaking putt, once you have determined your line, focus on a spot about 2 ft from your original ball position.

Make a straight putt towards that point and let the break do the job.

Practise by placing some tees to mark the spot and putt through that path.

If your ball strikes any of the tees, you may have pushed or pulled your putt.  Keep practising.

Keep your head still when making your putt. Do not move your head when stroking the ball.

It matters what type or length of putter you choose to use.

Select a putter with a lie angle and weight suitable for your physique.

The essential thing is to understand the key to a good putting stroke with a comfortable setup.

Always maintain:
1)  A smooth tempo
2)  A straight path just before & after the ball
3)  A repeatable stroke
